Ryde Mead is a small friendly club founded in 1907. It is situated in the centre of town overlooking the small harbour and the solent. The club is open to members and non-members.

Recently the club upgraded their clubhouse into a modern and bright place to chill and watch tennis. One of the members decided that all that was missing was a great cup of coffee and some nice home made refreshments. And so ‘Courtside Cafe’ has been opened to provide Island Roasted Coffee, Homemade cakes, Toasties, Sandwiches, Homemade Soup, Full English & Vegetarian Breakfasts and light bites.

The Cafe is open to Members and Non-Members, has free Customer WiFi, free newspapers and magazines to read, toys/books and games for children, wheelchair accessibility, tranquil gardens with outdoor seating, lovely views of the solent and Tennis equipment for hire to use the courts (or you could just sit and watch others play!)

  1. Hello from the crab sandwich seekers!
Just to say how much we enjoyed our soup&toastie today in your lovely cafe, and for recommending crab sandwich place – and do you know, we shared the best we’ve ever eaten washed down with a glass of Chardonnay!!
Greedy us, but dinner at hotel a long way off . . .
All the very best hope your cafe is a great success
